Explore some of the principles and philosophy of an Islamic approach to therapeutic support, with Islamic counsellor

and co-founder of the Listening Service Neelam Farzana MBE. Suitable for anyone with an interest in the relationship between faith and mental health, whether a practising Muslim, mental health practitioner, or otherwise. Everyone is welcome!

This introduction to Islamic counselling will explore the foundations of the subject in an interactive format. Over two sessions, this workshop will explore the following areas:

- Introductory concepts of Islamic Counselling, including Islam and Mental Health, Pioneers of Islamic Psychology, Psychology in the Qur'an
- The relationship between therapeutic standards of practice (CPCAB certification) and Islamic Counselling processes
- Putting into practise Islamic Counselling theory
- Using art in Islamic Counselling

Please note, this course is not accredited and does not lead to a qualification; it is intended for those with an initial interest in the subject area, whether personally or professionally.
