Isle of Wight Higher Education Exhibition
Fri 28 April 2017, 09:00 – 16:00 BST
The Southern Universities Network (SUN) is hosting a Higher Education Exhibition Event for students currently studying on the Isle of Wight.
The main exhibition will be open from 09:00 to 15:00. Between 15:00 and 16:00 the exhibition will be open for young people to attend independently or with parents.
Exhibitors will be able to arrive and set up their stalls between 18:00 and 22:00 on Thursday 27 April. Alternatively, the venue will be open to exhibitors from 08:00 on Friday 28 April and set-up can take place during the hour before the event opens.
We would like to welcome up to 2 representatives from your organisation to attend the exhibition. Exhibitors will have a stand in the main hall and will be able to showcase their institution, and its available courses, to potential students. Please ensure you book 1 ticket per staff member attending.
The event will provide Year 12 students, and any Year 13 students who have not yet applied to Higher Education, with a diversity of information about possible post-18 progression routes. The students will have the opportunity to attend talks throughout the day.
Historically, students from the Isle of Wight have attended the UCAS Exhibition held at the University of Portsmouth. As that event is not taking place this year, we are expecting in excess of 700 Year 12 and 13 students from schools and colleges across the island.
This invitation is being extended to a range of colleges and universities across the South of England. There will be no cost to exhibitors for attending this event, however we are unable to cover any travel expenses for staff.
The Higher Education Exhibition will be a market-stall format with each organisation having a space for a display and any promotional materials they wish to bring. Each stall holder will be provided with a table (6' by 2.5') and two chairs as standard.
Will I have access to Wifi at the event?
Wifi will be available to all exhibitors at the event. Please note that there is a limited bandwidth and therefore internet services may be slow.
