Islington Giving Christmas Carol Concert
Wed 14 December 2016, 19:30 – 21:30 GMT
Islington Giving is hosting a Christmas Carol Concert at Saint Silas Church, Pentonville, to raise funding and awareness, through the joys of singing, wine, mince pies, and other festive fun.
Doors open at 7.00pm.
The Carol Concert will take place between 7.30pm and 8.30pm, which will be followed a reception for delicious mulled wine and mince pies, from 8.30pm to 9.30pm.
We are bringing people together during the Christmas period, because this is a special time for affinity in the community, a time when we can raise awareness of the pressures facing some of Islington's residents, both during the season, and, of course, the rest of the year.
Islington Giving is committed to easing the problems caused by the acute levels of poverty and inequality in the borough, in which Christmas is a time where these issues are more starkly contrasted. Our concert is a small gesture, to raise awareness of these elements, and to bring the community together in solidarity. We cannot do this without you.
We really hope that you can join us.
There are limited places available, so please don't hesitate in reserving your ticket.
There is a suggested donation for tickets:
£10.00 for downstairs seating (fully accessible),
and £7.50 for upstairs gallery seating (there is no wheelchair access for gallery seating).
But anything you can contribute will be greatly appreciated.
Every penny donated will be spent on supporting Islington residents.
