ISO 19650 – A Global Opportunity | A breakfast seminar with Paul Shillcock
Event Information
Description
Join us at NBS HQ in welcoming Paul Shillcock, Principal Advisor at Operam, to Newcastle and hear how the new international standards in BIM will create a level playing field for the delivery and operation of assets around the world.
The ISO 19650 standards will eventually replace the British 1192 series of standards. Although the principles will remain the same, this seminar will explain the differences and what this will mean for UK BIM. Paul has been part of the wider team working on these standards over the last four years and is the lead author of ISO 19650-2 and the UK National Annex. During this session, Paul will share the journey from 1192 to 19650 and the amendments made based on both UK feedback and also those needed to gain an international consensus.
As additional presentation will be delivered by Dr Stephen Hamil, Innovation Director at NBS on the latest Uniclass developments and how this aligns with an ISO 19650 way of working.
This seminar will be of particular interest to BIM Managers and Information Managers. But also, for anyone whose role involves developing and exchanging information for construction projects, then this event is for you.
