Event description

Description

On 13 November 2019, the BIM Regions East Midlands invites you to an afternoon of education and informative applications around BS EN ISO 19650.

We are delighted to have David Churcher (one of the original authors of ISO 19650) with us to discuss the ISO, the new UK BIM Framework and where we are (nearly) a year on from the ISO’s publication.

John Ford will then be hosting a conversation based on the practical applications of ISO 19650 for Lead Appointed Parties (Lead Designers and Main Contractors)

We will touch on 4 key areas of the ISO

  • Implementing an organisational ISO 9001 approach
  • Tendering Process
  • Appointment Process
  • Mobilization

This plain English insight into how easily ISO 19650 can be implemented if you approach it pragmatically and avoid common pitfalls.

This will be followed by a panel discussion hosted by James Parsons-Moore, Chair of BIM Regions East Midlands with a fantastical panel consisting of 4 members of the Guidance Committee

  • David Churcher (Director – Hitherwood Consulting)
  • John Ford (BIM and Digital Information Director – Galliford Try)
  • Emma Hooper (Digital Information Specialist - Bond Bryan)
  • Andy Boutle (Head of BIM – Kier Construction)

We will be asking for Audience participation in this great opportunity for putting your questions forward to the panel on all aspects of the ISO and its Guidance.

The event will be followed by networking (Free Teas and Coffees) at the venue followed by after drinks and possible food (NOT FREE with Venue to be agreed)
