Israel and the World Economy: The Power of Globalization

The Israeli economy, a remarkable development success story, is a counter example to the current anti-globalization arguments. Professor Razin gives an economic-history perspective of the long struggle with inflation and gives an economic-history perspective of Israel’s immigration story.

Assaf Razin is Professor Emeritus at the Tel Aviv University. He was Friedman Professor of International Economics at Cornell University from 2001 to 2016. He is Research Fellow at the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR) and Research Associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER). He has written 19 books and monographs. His book will be published by MIT Press in 2018.
