Israel Independence Day Shalom Festival Party
Mon 1 May 2017, 18:30 – 21:30 BST
Come along to celebrate Yom Ha'Atzmaut - Israel's (69th) Independence Day!
Your compere for the evening will be acclaimed Israeli playwright, director and comedienne Hadar Galron, whom some may have seen at the International Shalom Festival (for which she is artistic director) at the Edinburgh Fringe last year. Expect a barrowful of laughs.
There will be live music and Israeli dancing - fun indeed for all the family!
The ticket price includes kosher buffet and a glass of wine or soft drink, plus tea or coffee.
Israel is an ancient country yet also a modern democratic one. Its myriad achievements are remarkable, its diverse people amazing. There is so much to celebrate. Meet new friends and enjoy something of the ibrancy and energy of Israel!
There will be a brief ceremony at 1815 to mark Yom Hazikaron (Memorial Day for the Fallen Soldiers of Israel and Victims of Terrorism).
The celebrations will begin at 1833, at which time people throughout Israel will rejoice!
This is the only place to be on the evening of May 1st.
