IStructE South West & South Wales Regional Group: Steelwork Design Course

The IStructE South West & South Wales Regional Group is running a series of ‘design of structures’ courses based on the material Eurocodes. These courses are aimed at graduates developing their design skills and practicing engineers making the transition from British Standards to Eurocodes. The courses make extensive use of tutorials to reinforce the understanding of design to Eurocodes.

The next course is BS EN1993: Eurocode 3. Design of steel structures

The course runs on Mondays for five weeks. A sixth week is included in case one of the preceding sessions has to be postponed for unforeseen reasons. Each Session will start promptly at 3.30pm and finish at 7.30pm.

As with previous courses, the first week will be used to introduce the basic principles of design to Eurocodes EC(0) and EC1.

Eurocode 3: Steelwork Design - 17th November- 8thDecember 2025

(15thDecember ‘spare week’)

The sessions will start promptly at 3.30 pm and finish at 7.30 pm.

The Course will take place on line (Zoom), login details will be provided nearer the Course start date.
