The talk will be preceded by the Western Counties Regional Group 2025 AGM and Prize Awards.

Although this presentation is both an in-person and an online event, it will not be recorded.

Following the publication of “Efficient vibration design for lab-enabled buildings” by Arup, the lead Author, Nick Simpson, presents the key insights in to design of lab enabled buildings, with a view to how buildings can be specified, and designed more efficiently for lower cost and carbon outcomes.

Associate Structural Engineer, Arup

Nick is based in the Arup Bristol office and is experienced in structural dynamics, lab vibration requirements, structural analysis and on site vibration measurement.
