Description
About the Tour
Join us on journey through some of the most majestic scenery in the Highlands of Scotland. Our main destination is Oban, but we will also visit some picturesque parts of Scotland that no words can describe including Inveraray Castle and Kilchurn Castle.
Oban is one of the most picturesque and popular destinations for tourists in the Highlands. It is informally known as the ‘Gateway to the Isles’ also lives up to its other nickname, as the 'Seafood Capital of Scotland'. There is so much to see and to do in Oban including Dunnollie Castle, Oban Distillery, the Chocolate Factory/Shop, St Columba's Cathedral and McCaig's Tower, a Colosseum look alike, situated uphill and offering the most spectacular, panoramic views of the town and even across to surrounding islands.
Kilchurn Castle, as the highlight of the trip, is one of the most photographed castles in Scotland and its dramatic situation – at the head of Loch Awe, with the peak of Ben Cruachan visible will definitely leave you speechless. The entry to Kilchurn Castle is free.
This adventure also includes visiting Inveraray, a very cute and charming town located in Argyle and Bute. We will also visit Inveraray Castle, featured in Downtown Abbey. You will be also impressed by the beautiful Loch Fyne, where Actor Robbie Coltrane (Hagrid) was married in front of just 35 friends at Inveraray.
This Day Trip also includes enjoying the most stunning part of Highlands and can't be missed!
