It Starts With a Conversation – Time to Talk Day
Overview
At Hull and East Yorkshire Mind, we believe that talking about mental health can change lives.
As part of Time to Talk Day, and our wider mental health campaign running throughout January and February, we are hosting a free online webinar to bring people across Hull and East Riding together to start meaningful conversations about mental health.
This session is open to everyone - including members of the public, health professionals, educators, and community workers - and is designed to help create a culture where talking about mental health feels normal, safe, and supported.
During the webinar, we will:
- Build confidence in talking about mental health
- Debunk common myths and challenge stigma
- Encourage open and meaningful conversations in our communities
- Signpost local mental health support services across Hull and East Riding
This webinar is for:

- People supporting friends, family members, colleagues, or students
- Health and social care professionals
- Teachers, education staff, and community workers
- Volunteers and community leaders
No experience or prior knowledge is required - just a willingness to listen, learn, and take part.

- Gain practical tools for starting conversations about mental health
- Feel more confident supporting others
- Better understand mental health and wellbeing
- Learn where to find local support and services if you or someone else needs help
