About this event
Mutual Aid Food Willesden (together with BOM) is organising an online Italian cooking session as part of the serie "Cook with your Neighbours" on Friday 3rd July at 6.30pm to raise funding for our emergency food aid centre in Willesden Green area. For more information, pls visit: https://www.mutualaidfoodwillesden.co.uk/
On this occasion, we have invited Alessandro Hatami to contribute. He is a very talented home cook, that through the years has developed a wide range of dishes suitable for busy families that like to eat delicious food that is also healthy.
We will prepare 2 of his family’s favourite dishes IN JUST ONE HOUR. Once you sign up you will receive a list of ingredients and simple prep for the following two dishes. We will be invited to a Zoom session where we will all cook the dishes together - live.
On the menu:
PACCHERI ALLA CHECCA. This is Alessandro’s interpretation of a popular Roman summer pasta dish. He brings together delicious pasta, with fresh pomodorini tomatoes, voluptuous Burrata style Mozzarella and basil. A very popular dish with difficult youngsters.
ASPARAGUS AND TALEGGIO FRITTATA. This is a nice simple dish that allows you to make the most of the delicious seasonal asparagus brought together with one of the creamiest Italian cheese. Delicious hot or cold.
Next steps:
- List of ingredients and method will be shared at 5 least days before
- We will also provide instructions on how to prep the ingredients
- We will tell you what should be ready before the start of the cooking session
- The cooking/seasoning/final preparation will not take more than 1 hour.
It is a free event but kindly make a donation (we recommended a minimum of £10 but don’t let our suggestion limit your generosity).
All proceeds will be paid to Mutual Aid Food Willesden. We have distributed emergency food parcels to more than 4000 people since we started at the end of March 2020. If you want to know more, please visit: https://www.mutualaidfoodwillesden.co.uk/
Together, we can continue to the end of August to support local families that need us the most.
Book quickly! The Zoom link will be send directly to the attendees.
Many thanks and see you next Friday
