Thanks to our sponsors we are able to open up the ITS 2013 keynote to the general public as part of the University of St Andrews 600th anniversary celebrations.
On Monday the 7th of October 9:00 to 10:15am in Younger Hall. Our speaker is Jeff Han, Perceptive Pixel Founder and General Manager of the Perceptive Pixel Division at Microsoft.
Jeff Han is a visionary and leading proponent of multi-touch sensing in our world. He founded Perceptive Pixel which was recently acquired by Microsoft, where he is now the General Manager of the Perceptive Pixel group. Jeff has a background as a research scientist in New York University (NYU) and as a student in computer science and electrical engineering at Cornell University. Jeff is known by millions of people around the world for his talk in February 2006 at the TED (Technology Entertainment Design) Conference in Monterey, California. His work memorably and joyfully demonstrated multiple points of contact with multi-touch sensing to wide acclaim. His TED talk gave inspiration to many and has literally touched the lives of millions. Jeff was named to Time magazine's 2008 listing of the 100 Most Influential People in The World. He joins us here at ITS 2013 to talk about his path and the lessons along the road to Perceptive Pixel.
