A circular route starting and finishing at Ilkeston Town Football Club, approximately 3 miles.  A mixture of pavements,  trails and canal paths.

Are there lots of ups and downs?

There are some inclines and declines on the route.   There may be some bridges on the route.

How fast will you walk?

Accepted Answer

Medium speed.  We expect the walk to take 60 - 75 minutes.

Are there toilets or places to buy a drink /snack on the walk?

Accepted Answer

No.  There are no toilets or places to buy drinks / snacks on the the walk itself.  There are toilets at Ilkeston Town Football Club. Tea / coffee available after the walk.

What clothing / footwear will I need?

Accepted Answer

Sturdy footwear as some of the paths may be wet, covered in leaves and uneven in places.  Warm and/ or waterproof jacket.

Is parking available?

Accepted Answer

Yes.  Parking is available at Ilkeston Town Football Club. We do encourage people to travel sustainably where possible.

How will I know if the walk gets cancelled?

Accepted Answer

The most likely reason for cancelling will be due to poor weather.  We will check the weather forecast the day before and let people know the day before, using Eventbrite.

Is the walk suitable for pushchairs / wheelchairs?

Accepted Answer

The walk have some inclines, declines, bridges and uneven sections.  The weather will also have an impact on suitability.  Please do email in and we can give more specific route details.

Can I bring my dog along?

No, not on these walks.
