Event description

Description

Criterion-referenced assessment is sometimes cast as the enemy of creativity and intellectual freedom. However, by using criteria we should be moving away from a norm of referenced approaches that emphasise the value of reproducing knowledge to a focus on capability and the capacity of our students to do meaningful things with their learning.

In this workshop we explore how criteria can empower students to play to their own strengths, to take risks and to be creative in demonstrating their knowledge.
