MEMBERS MEETING SPEAKER 2: Daniel Raven-Ellison

What if London becomes a National Park City?

Following up on relevant resolutions at the World Conservation Congress and as a contribution to IUCN's developing interest in the urban agenda, Daniel Raven-Ellison from the London National Park City Foundation will give an update on the campaign to make London the world's first National Park City. He will outline the thinking behind the campaign, explain some of the benefits of the National Park City model and describe how members can get involved.

Daniel will be introduced by Stuart Brooks, Chair of NCUK and participant in IUCN's recent discussions on 'World Environment Hubs', a framework for evaluating and certifying cities and regions which place environmental sustainability, biodiversity, and ecosystem services at the heart of urban and regional development strategies.
