Co-operative law in Japan and the Workers Co-operatives Act
Akira Kurimoto will present a webinar providing an overview of co-operative laws in Japan. His presentation will be based on the Legal Framework Analysis for the region and will pay attention to how the legal frameworks deal with issues including governance, finance, supervision and taxation. The new Workers Co-operatives Act will be covered.
Akira is a former professor in Hosei University, Tokyo and a member of Ius Cooperativum. He is currently working with Japan Co-operative Alliance.
Key Features of Co-operative law in Australia and the South Pacific
Ann Apps will present a webinar providing an overview of co-operative law in Oceania. Her presentation will be based on the Legal Framework Analysis for the region and will pay attention to how the legal frameworks in some countries deal with issues including governance, supervision, capital raising and taxation.
Ann is a lecturer in Newcastle Law School, University of Newcastle, Australia and a member of Ius Cooperativum. She is currently undertaking PhD research on co-operative law in Australia.
