Honor will start the afternoon with 90 minute Iyengar Yoga session.
We will work on all levels of our being, strengthening an inner connection and cultivating greater awareness and freedom in the body through yoga. During class we will work on Asana (yoga postures) and Pranayama (breath techniques), sometimes using props to aid us in our practice. The Iyengar method is a balanced practice that includes both challenging and restorative sequences and focuses on optimum alignment in your own body.
Chanting with Gayatri & Honor - 20 minutes
A chance to relax and chant from your heart. You will get to open up and explore sound through your voice with the support of sacred instruments. If you have a favourite shaker or small instruments that you would like to play do bring them along.
After the chanting you will lie back and be bathed in sound for an hour.
San, Gayatri & Honor will be giving the Sound Bath
It will include:
Gongs, Crystal Singing Bowls, Tibetan Bowls, Various Drums, Rattles, Chimes, Flute, Harp, Tuning Forks, Percussion Instruments and our Voices.
Looking forward to transporting you on this healing journey
Love Honor, Gayatri & San
San is a trained Sound Healing practitioner, Erik's Essence Practitioner, junior consultant in Super Connection level 2 & Usui Reiki Master practitioner. She uses gongs, Tibetan Singing Bowls, Crystal Singing Bowls, Solfeggio Tuning Forks, Tong/Hapi Drum, ancient Nepal Drum, Frame Drum and other instruments in her sound sessions.
Gayatri uses a combination of Sanskrit Chants, Rainbow Songs, Voicework and Sound Healing in her work.
Gayatri teaches sound and movement explorations to encourage people to tap into their creativity and go into their heart space. Even those who thought they’d never sing or chant find themselves responding to Gayatri’s circle, losing their inhibitions and making sound spontaneously and joyfully.
Gayatri has been studying the practice of Voicework and Chanting since 2006, her primary teachers being Stewart Pearce, Nikki Slade and Chloe Goodchild. In the summer 2015 she attended a Sound Healing course with Tim Wheater and Cherubelle Sanson. Later in the year, she studied with Sanj Hall, in playing gongs and learning more singing bowls techniques. In 2016 she trained with Ashera in Solfeggio Tuning Fork therapy.
Honor began yoga in secondary school. She’s the daughter of Prem Rawat devotees so grew up immersed in a yogic world view. Honor completed her British Wheel of Yoga teacher training in 2006 and qualified as an Iyengar teacher nine years ago and is now working on her Senior certification. She’s been teaching busy classes and one to ones in London with enthusiasm and commitment. The highlight of her yoga journeying has been her work studying with teachers and devoted practitioners in India, especially BKS Iyengar and his daughter Geeta Iyengar and son Prashant Iyengar in Pune on a number of intensives.
