Description

Double Olympic Taekwon-do Champion and current Wales Sports Personality of the Year Jade Jones MBE answers questions and performs a world-class demonstration in the intimate surroundings of Fleur-de-lis Community Centre..

This event is suitable for children 7 years and over and adults.

No alcohol will be served at this venue.

Doors at 4.30pm and the event starts at 5pm.

Jade Jones MBE

19-year-old Jade Jones historically became Great Britain’s first ever Taekwondo athlete to win gold at the Olympics during London 2012.

She was later awarded an MBE, after being named among the 2013 New Year’s honours list.

She has since gone onto win a Commonwealth title and European Championships gold to add to the continental bronzes she took in 2010 and 12.

Jones was the winner of the inaugural Youth Olympic Games in 2010.

She also competed at the 2015 European Games in Baku and won gold in the -57kg weight division, making her the second female Taekwondo athlete to do so.

More recently, Jones made further history by winning gold and becoming double Olympic Champion at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.
