About this event

Community • Historic

Join our art curators for an evening focussed on James Guthrie Orchar in this, his bicentenary year.

You will enjoy a glass of wine on arrival, before listening to an overview of Orchar's life. You'll gain insight into his collection through observations of the paintings on display at Broughty Castle Museum, before learning about Orchar's own talent as an artist. The evening will finish with a surprise unveiling!

This is a fundraiser event to support Leisure & Culture Dundee in their work to care for the City's nationally significant fine art collection.

Please note, due to the historic nature of the building, there is no wheelchair access. The gallery is accessible via a spiral stair only.
