FAQs
Why are you organising this event?
The event is a fundraiser for Brookfield Primary School. We also think it's fun to get together and watch films and learn more about making them.
Is the event only for families that attend Brookfield Primary school?
No, it is for any families that would like to come.
How much does it cost?
£3.28 per person. (The 0.28 covers our fees with Eventbrite). It is the same price for children and adults.
Please note we are charging a small amount in the hope it will be affordable for all families. We will also be asking for donations at the event from those families that can afford it.
Do I have to pay for babies?
No, babies and infants younger than two can come for free.
Will there be food?
Yes, there will be pizzas, crisps, popcorn, and ice creams available to buy. There will also be water, juice, and drinks. Please bring cash to pay for the food.
What film are you showing?
We're screening a 1961 film called THE MONSTER OF HIGHGATE PONDS which is about a group of children who live near Hampstead Heath and have an adventure at the ponds. You will recognise many local places in this film!
The plan is:
5pm - Gates open, people eat & drink & chat (a chance to eat an early dinner)
5:30 - Event starts with screenings of the best kids' animations from our animation competition
6pm - Screening of THE MONSTER OF HIGHGATE PONDS
7pm - The formal part of the evening over, time for kids to talk to the animation judges and everyone to relax
7:30pm - Everyone needs to leave by this time
What is the rating of the film? What age children is it appropriate for?
The film is rated U and doesn't have any offensive material. You can see the BBFC rating for the film here:

How many people can attend?
We are strictly limited because of fire regulations so we can only let 160 people in. All our previous DPFC KIDS events have sold out so please get your tickets early if you don't want to miss out.
What time will the event end?
We expect to be completely finished by 7:30pm.
How can I contact the organiser with any questions?
Email: lizzie.gillett@gmail.com
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
No, you can either bring a printed ticket or show it to us on your phone.
Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?
Yes, that is fine.
