About this event

We cannot wait for September's Jane Austen Festival and neither should you!Come and grab a glass of wine and join us as we discover some of Jane Austen's greatest literary influences as Rebecca Romney talks all about her new book 'Jane Austen's Bookshelf'. When rare books dealer Rebecca Romney found an emerald clothbound edition of Evelina by Frances Burney, she was happy to discover that she'd stumbled across a novel by one of Jane Austen's favourite authors. Inspired by the connection between the two writers, she returned to Austen's books with a new lens, picking out clues sprinkled throughout her works that pointed to the writers she had admired. For accessibility requirements please call 01225 448515 or email events.bath@waterstones.com
