A commemoration of the life of Jane Haining, who worked at JP Coats Threadmill, Paisley and who died at Auschwitz - Scotland's Heroine.

A Commemoration of the life of Jane Haining. Jane worked at Ferguslie Thread Mill, was a Missionary for the Church of Scotland in Hungary and died at Auschwitz Birkenau.

The event will include the showing of a new short film, part of an education programme to be rolled out across Renfrewshire, music, speeches and a PACE Theatre Production - the Sma Shot Story.

Family members of Jane Haining will be joining the event, as well as Cllr Lorraine Cameron - Provost of Renfrewshire, Dunscore Community, UNISON and the wider trade union movement. Local schools and faith groups are also taking part.

We will be unveiling artwork for a mural commemorating Jane Haining to be sited at Brown's Lane/Shuttle Street, Paisley.
