POWER UP YOUR MEDITATION
Weekly during January
Course fee £20 (series of 4) ¦ £7 per class ¦ free with membership
The programme consists of a dynamic combination of guided meditation and teaching, all aimed at enabling students to develop their daily practice and become skillful meditation practitioners.
To make progress in meditation we need a skillful application of effort. In the Buddhist teachings effort is described as a mind that delights in virtue – a light and joyful approach to both formal meditation and the application of positive thinking in our daily life. In Guide to the Bodhisattva’s Way of Life, Shantideva explains four powers that energise our meditation. Through applying these methods we will overcome heaviness and discouragement and develop a strong and stable meditation practice that does not waver when we experience difficulties.
