Japanese Beginners Programme: Level 1.1
Tue 27 June 2017, 18:30 – 19:30 BST
Classes are offered in blocks of ten weeks for flexibility and affordability and are offered on a rolling basis for new and continuing students. Classes are designed to be small for the greatest interaction between the student and the instructor, who is a native Japanese speaker and experienced Japanese instructor for all ages and interest groups. Students will receive a welcome pack at the start of the course, be provided with all course materials and enjoy school members benefits including access to our new online support system for help about homework or tough subjects covered in class, member's discount on all our courses from languages to tai chi, and members-only events including a haiku poetry workshop.
Our Beginners 1.1 course is for anyone who wishes to start Japanese without previous knowledge. In the weekly hour session, our teacher will guide you through your first steps in speaking, listening, reading and writing Japanese. With communication practice and an introduction to Japanese culture, learners will receive a holistic understanding of the Japanese language. By the end of the beginners 1.1 course learners will be able to construct basic statements and questions, offering simple greetings, introduce themselves and share their interests. Learners will be able to recognise Hiragana and Katakana with basic grammatical structures.
