Japanese Beginners Programme: Level 1.3
Thu 4 May 2017, 18:30 – 19:30 BST
Classes are offered in blocks of ten weeks for flexibility and affordability and are offered on a rolling basis for new and continuing students. Classes are designed to be small for the greatest interaction between the student and the instructor, who is a native Japanese speaker and experienced Japanese instructor for all ages and interest groups. Students will receive a welcome pack at the start of the course, be provided with all course materials and enjoy school members benefits including access to our new online support system for help about homework or tough subjects covered in class, member's discount on all our courses from languages to tai chi, and members-only events including a haiku poetry workshop.
This course continues with everyday conversation and topics such as describing features and characteristics of objects and people, expressing thoughts about experiences, and giving reasons. At the end of the course, students should be able to read and understand basic expressions and sentences written in hiragana, katakana and kanji, to listen and comprehend conversations about topics regularly encountered in daily life and classroom situations, and be able to pick up necessary information from short conversations spoken slowly. Students will be at JLPT N5 level upon completion of the course.
