With a strong blues & jazz vibe 59 DeVille’s repertoire showcases a highly atmospheric mix of music across both genres. Formed out of a jam session at Ain’t Nothing But the Blues, the band feature jazz musicians Jeremy Robinson on trumpet and Jamie Royan on double bass & bass guitar, together with blues frontman Russ Varakuta guitar & vocals and Dave Cee on drums playing a fresh take on bebop and blues standards.
Jeremy Robinson’s jazz trumpet influences range from Bix Beiderbecke and Louis Armstrong, through Dizzy Gillespie, Miles Davis, Chet Baker, Lee Morgan and Wynton Marsalis. Jamie Royan studied bass and drums at ICMP before joining the West London music scene playing bass guitar and double bass in rock, blues, jazz, and classical settings.
New Yorker Russ Varakuta is a much in demand guitarist-vocalist on the London jazz and blues scenes. His guitar influences include Buddy Guy, and Jim Mullen, while his vocal style owes debts to Ray Charles, Merle Haggard, and Howling Wolf. Drummer Dave Cee is a regular on the London jazz and blues scene. Among the material this exciting jazz and blues quartet will be performing on the night will be numbers such as “Fly Me To The Moon”, “The Thrill Is Gone”, “All Of Me”, ”Route 66”, “Kansas City” & “Senior Blues”.
A word about our seating arrangements
We sell tickets as tables for two or four people and banquettes for six.
We also sell tickets for individual seats in rows beside the stage, not at a table. You can also buy individual tickets to add to tables, so you can to buy a table for two and make it up to three by buying an extra ticket, or buy a table for four and make it up to five by buying an extra ticket.
Chiswick Calendar Club Card holders are offered a £2 discount on tickets.
You can order meals, bar snacks and drinks in the Boston Room, before and during the performance. Doors open 7.00 pm. Performance starts 7.30 pm
