Darren has established himself on the London jazz scene as a much sought-after bassist, performing with world-class musicians including Jean Toussaint (Jazz Messengers), Bruce Barth, Pee Wee Ellis, Larry Coryell, Alex Garnett, Leon Greening, Renato D’Aiello, Steve Fishwick, Jim Mullen, Ernesto Simpson, Dave Cliff, Emma Smith, and Henry Lowther.
He has appeared at many of the UK’s leading jazz venues including Ronnie Scott’s, Pizza Express Jazz Club Soho, Alfie’s Jazz Club, The Piano Bar Soho, The 606 Club, Vortex Jazz Club, and Kansas Smitty’s, among others.
Beyond jazz, Darren’s collaborations include Oscar-winner Glen Hansard, Andrew Philpott (Depeche Mode), and composer Maurice Seezer. He was also a long-time member of Irish cult folk-rock band Interference, performing everywhere from Radio City Music Hall, NYC to Ireland’s iconic Other Voices festival and numerous international stages.
