Description
JAZZLONDONLIVE presents an evening of stripped-back acoustic jazz, with three small but perfectly formed line-ups playing a fresh and accessible mixture of original music, new arrangements and recently released material.
Join us in the Locker Room, Library’s very own intimate speakeasy, to hear new sounds drawn from London’s vibrant jazz scene, hand picked from JAZZLONDONLIVE’s featured artists.
This month’s event takes place during the EFG 2017 London Jazz Festival, and kicks off with the Sarah Chaplin Duo playing songs from their new album, We Both Are Lost, with Pete Duncan on guitar and Sarah Chaplin on vocals/flutes.
Next up will be alto saxophonist Dee Byrne and pianist Rebecca Nash, both members of the highly innovative band Entropi, whose first album Moment Frozen has been receiving rave reviews. Byrne and Nash will treat us to a set of their own originals and arrangements.
The evening will culminate with a fabulous trio, featuring songs from their larger band’s sumptuous debut album Talinka, which was released earlier this year to critical acclaim. The trio consists of Tali Atzmon (vocals), Frank Harrison (piano), and Gilad Atzmon (accordion).
Tickets are priced at £20 each, which gives you a day pass membership of the club.
