Description

Do you have what it takes?

Ready, set, bake as you and your team race against the clock…

We’re looking for 12 bakers to take part in JCI’s Manchester first ever live bake off event to raise money for Anxiety UK!

Prepare for 3 rounds which will test your team’s ability to cope under pressure and pull together the perfect bake. Each team will be made up of 4 bakers, who you will have the opportunity to meet in advance to appoint a ‘head chef’, allocate roles, choose your bakes and ingredients and plan how to make the most of your time for the 3 rounds, which are *drum roll please*:

ROUND 1 – THE TECHNICAL CHALLENGE (to be revealed 1 day prior to the Bake Off) – don’t worry you’ll each be provided with the same ingredients;

ROUND 2 – 10 MATCHING CUPCAKES – choose your design, choose your flavour, choose your quirk…

ROUND 3 – THE EASTER EXTRAVAGANZA – be creative with the Easter theme…

Each round will be judged by a panel of fantastic judges (expert bakers and non bakers alike) who will grant 1st, 2nd and 3rd place for each round, with the overall winning team to be announced at the end of the competition, of course with fantastic prizes up for grabs.

Recognising your awesome efforts in the kitchen, each participant will receive a Baking memento for their hard work. But, only one team will be crowned the ‘Star Bakers’, so the stakes are high.

To take part, all you need to do is rally your friends, colleagues, employers and families and ask for support by way of donations. Each baker is required to raise a minimum of £100 to enter, the entirety of which will go straight to Anxiety UK to support the amazing work they do. If you can raise more, fantastic!

Don’t fancy it?... why not come along as part of our audience and sample some of the delicious bakes. After the competition and prize giving, there will be afternoon tea and a fantastic opportunity to chat to fellow Manchester young professionals. Each ticket will cost just £5, with the entirety to be donated to Anxiety UK.

If you any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact our Charity Directors, Melissa (mobrien@freemanfisher.com) or Emma (Emma.godefroy@hallbrown.co.uk), who will also be able to provide you with sponsorship forms and further details surrounding the event itself.

*JCI Manchester will provide all of the basic baking supplies (a list of which will be provided approximately 10 days before the event,) however you will be required to source additional ingredient sponsorship to purchase any additional ingredients you want to use. Any ingredient sponsorship will be separate to the £100 entry fee, which you need to raise*
