Registration fee - £10

Fundraising target - £250 (We ask you to commit to raising a minimum of £250 through fundraising and/or sponsorship to help support local people affected by cancer, their family and friends.)

What support will you receive?

All #TeamMaggies runners will get a FREE Maggie’s running vest, as well as fundraising tips & tricks and training support leading up to the event.

We will also be there on the day with cheers of encouragement along the route and we will greet you at our marquee in the race village by the finish line for refreshments and a well deserved rest!

How your fundraising will help

£140 supports our exercise classes to help build and maintain strength and confidence whilst living with Cancer.

£50 means someone just diagnosed with cancer can receive immediate advice and support from a Cancer Support Specialist.

£40 could help someone diagnosed with cancer focus on their treatment and less on the struggle of supporting their family with our expert benefits advisors

If you have any questions please email swanseafundraising@maggiescentres.org.

Organiser Maggie's

Organiser of JCP Swansea Half Marathon 2021 – Maggie’s Charity Place

Maggie’s provides free practical, emotional and social support to people with cancer and their family and friends, following the ideas about cancer care originally laid out by Maggie Keswick Jencks.

Built in the grounds of NHS cancer hospitals, Maggie's centres are places with professional staff on hand to offer the support people need.

Our centres are places to find practical advice about benefits and eating well; places where qualified experts provide emotional support; places to meet other people; places where you can simply sit quietly with a cup of tea.

The first Maggie’s opened in Edinburgh in 1996 and since then Maggie’s has continued to grow, with 26 centres at major NHS cancer hospitals in the UK and abroad.
