Jelly Family Art Club - 10.30am to 12pm
Join us at the St Luke's Church Hall for a morning of craft running alongside community artisan food market 'Eat Local Love Local'.
Jelly Family Art Club is led by local artists and designers, for children of all ages. With over 20 years combined experience between them and creative skills ranging from fine art to fashion design and textiles to theatre, our fantastic team run a programme of creative workshops that encourage your child to join in, learn, make, be creative and play together.
Our workshops are held in a separate room to the market and children over 6 years are welcome to stay whilst parents look around the market. Children 5 years and younger must be accompanied by an adult. Due to the limited space only one adult can stay but you are welcome to swap over during the session.
Every month there is a different theme
15th April - diorama boxes with artist Julie Calce
Julie is a mixed media artist working with paper/papier-mache, and textiles. I love drawing and creating imaginary worlds and characters. I am influenced by illustration & nature.
Come and make a recycled cardboard box diorama. Create your own little scene! It could be based on a book you have just read or just from your imagination.

Jelly is an energetic charity championing the creative arts. We have played a strategic role in Reading’s cultural life since 1993 – enabling art to appear in unexpected places and creating opportunities for people to look on and join in.
