Event description

Description

The magpie collects but the bower bird also arranges what is collected into a spectacular whole. In this workshop, participants will be guided through an activity that stimulates creative associative thinking towards the development of set or character design. Using a large collection of printed images, the workshop invites participants to curate a mood board that reflects their own creative vision and can communicate their ideas to collaborators.

Jenna is a fashion curator and artist, whose diverse background in design and performance informs her multi-faceted approach to exhibition making. She works in museums, educational organisations and brands to develop and deliver fashion exhibitions, often designing them as well. Her curatorial work includes ‘T-Shirt: Cult/Culture/Subversion’ (Fashion and Textile Museum London), ‘Fashion & Freedom (Manchester Art Gallery), ‘Women. Fashion, Power (Design Museum) and ‘Digital Encounters’ (Herbert Reade Gallery). She earned an MA in Fashion Curation, and subsequently worked for curator Judith Clark and set designer Simon Costin, contributing to projects including 'Diana Vreeland After Diana Vreeland', The Simone Handbag Museum, La Galerie Louis Vuitton, The Museum of British Folklore and prop styling for an array of events and editorial and advertising photo shoots. She worked as a stylist and costume designer in NYC before emigrating to the UK to study theatre design.
