Event description
Enjoy London's unique garden ON TOP OF the River Thames, come rain or shine, under our 7 polytunnels of tropical and edible plants!

About this Event

Join us at the Jetty to improve your gardening skills in a beautiful riverside location.

Every Thursday we host volunteering sessions to support aspiring and experienced gardeners alike, to improve their skills and enjoy the therapeutic benefits of growing food and flowers.

This is a totally unique venue: 7 polytunnels on a pier in the Thames, where we grow a huge range of plants that will provide novel opportunities for everyone. Because of the huge covered area, we garden comfortably in all weathers. There is currently no drinking water on site so please bring a bottle of water with you.

Safety is our top priority. To keep everyone safe, there is a maximum of 4 volunteer places per shift. We will be following social distancing measures at all times. As a Covid19 precaution, as well as to avoid cuts and allergic reactions to plants, we ask all volunteers to bring your own gloves (washing up gloves will do if you don't have gardening gloves!) and your own masks. This is a requirement to coming on site.

Once you have booked your place, you will receive our full C19 guidelines so we can all enjoy the outdoors safely together.

Accessibility

The Jetty is accessible for all including wheelchair users.

Join us for a happy, hands on morning! Email info@urbangrowth.london if you require any further information.
