Jewellery Fundamentals Stage 2: 6 week course (evenings)
Overview
What: A 6 week jewellery course exploring the fundamentals of silversmithing including cabachon (flat backed) stone setting, granulation (forming and adding decorative silver grains) and creating a wishbone ring. We aim to complete 2-3 projects during the course. Small, supportive group learning. Use of tools, consumables and materials included.
Dates & Times: 7th January 2026 to 11 February 22026 inclusive 18.00-20.30 (6-8.30pm)

Level: This workshop is suitable for complete beginners/intermediates you will be given guidance all the way through from the initial designs to making and finishing.
The Studio: The Studio has a maximum of 5 participants, so that the classes are small, friendly and supportive. The studio is fully equipped, with each of the 5 individual workbenches having the tools necessary for each task and with additional larger working areas.
Your tutor: Rachael is an established maker and illustrator with a PGCert in Creative Education and has taught in a University setting for over 25 years, specialising in 3D Art & Design including contemporary craft and jewellery. She is keen to help others tap into their creativity and set up their own rewarding jewellery practice.
Where: Form and Findings Studio is Studio 4, in the Stables at Coda. There is easy parking on site with disabled spaces and access if required.
Refreshments: The onsite Bramble Hill cafe is open again from September. The studio will provide refreshments.
