Jewellery & Silversmithing Workshop: Silver Bangles & Stacking Rings Worksh...
Sat 10 December 2016, 10:00 – 16:00 GMT
At this full day workshop you will be shown how to make both sterling silver bangles and stacking rings. You will then be able to decide your own combination of textures and finishes - and how many of each - you would like to make, making them a truly personal set! During the day you should be able to make 2 or 3 rings and 2 or 3 bangles to take home with you at the end of the class (depending on your choice of designs).
You will be shown all the skills you will need to make and size your bangles and rings, including hand-sawing, filing, texturing and soldering. I will be on hand to closely guide and supervise at all stages of the process.
Please arrive at Banks Mill Studios at 9.45 am and buzz my studio (Studio 2.8) and I will come down and meet you in the foyer before going up to my studio. It is advisable to wear old clothes, and for health and safety no open toe shoes and long hair to be tied back.
Tea, coffee, soft drinks and biscuits will be provided but please bring a packed lunch as this is not included in the day.
The price does not include the cost of materials. All the sterling silver required to make your jewellery can be bought on the day, approximately £10 of silver will make one average thickness bangle and £4-£6 of silver will make one ring depending on the thickness you choose.
It is metered on-street car parking on the streets around Banks Mill Studios.
Any questions you may have beforehand please do not hesitate to contact me - mobile 07970 850615 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
I look forward to seeing you for the workshop,
