About this event
Unlock your creativity and explore the captivating world where imagination meets sustainability, transforming anything and everything into unique jewellery, with the guidance of an experienced jewellery upcycling artist Tere Beltran
This is a paid event for those able to afford the £30 workshop fee to support the tutor and Haringey Fixers.
In this hands-on workshop you'll learn how to identify forgotten or discarded objects with creative potential, exploring ways to reimagine them as unique components of wearable art. We'll look at everyday items through a new lens- focusing on storytelling, style, and sustainability.
Using simple techniques, you'll transform these rescued materials into beautifully original jewellery that reflects your personality and vision. Create meaningful pieces you’ll be proud to wear and share.
Don’t worry if you’re a beginner! No experience needed. This workshop is designed for those eager to develop creative skills in a relaxed, supportive environment.
You’ll have access to all the materials, tools, items brought by others to share. All you need is curiosity, imagination, and willingness to try something new!
You’ll be introduced to various materials and techniques, with guidance provided every step of the way.
During the session, we will encourage you to find your style. Come and immerse yourself in the process of creating your own unique mixed media piece(s) of jewellery!
You’re also welcome to repair or revive those meaningful broken pieces you’ve tucked away in a drawer waiting for a second life.
Feel free to bring and share your own ‘findings’: old or broken jewellery, buttons, zips, bras, handbags, belts and other bits and odds… I’ve even used machine parts! The more unexpected, more fun we can have.
By the end of the workshop, you’ll have crafted your own wearable statement pieces and discovered new ways to look at everyday materials.
This is more than just a creative experience, it’s a meaningful step toward sustainable making, turning waste into art while caring for the environment
