Description

The Board of Deputies invites Jewish volunteers, professionals, rabbis and activists to a one-day conference about challenges and opportunities in interfaith relations.

Whether you're a seasoned interfaith pro - or you've always wanted to get involved in interfaith activities, but weren't sure how - this day of peer-to-peer support will offer a space for conversations about how members of the Jewish community can best engage with interfaith work.

Guest speakers include:

  • Iman Atta OBE – Director of Tell MAMA (Measuring anti-Muslim Attacks)

  • Reverend Dr. Keith Magee – Social Justice Theologian, and Senior Religious Affairs Advisor with Obama for America 2008 and 2012

  • Ravinder Kaur Nijjar - Chair of Religions for Peace UK Women of Faith Network and Sikh Representative on Scottish Religious Leaders Forum

  • Dave Rich – Author, and Head of Policy at the Community Security Trust

Timings:

9:45am - 10:00am: Registration

10:00am - 10:55am: Session 1

11:00am - 11:55am: Session 2

12:00pm - 12:55pm: Session 3

1:00pm - 2:00pm: Lunch (A kosher lunch will be provided)

2:00pm - 2:55pm: Session 4

3:00pm - 3:55pm: Session 5

4:00pm: Conference closes

Tickets: Free, but a donation of £10 or £20 would help us to cover the cost of this event. The Board of Deputies is a Registered Charity (No. 1058107).
