Event description

Description

Welcoming members of Bristol's Kurdish and Jewish communities together for a social justice celebration of Tu B'Shvat: the Jewish New Year for Trees.

Using the themes of the festival, we will share insights about the inspiring ecological feminist democracy flourishing in Rojava (Kurdish region in Syria).

1.30pm: Lunch will be provided
2.30pm: The Tu B’Shvat Seder: a ceremonial meal of fruits, along with discussions, live music and poetry.

- This event is family friendly and alcohol-free -

With ongoing attacks on Rojava from Turkey as well from ISIS, we will be raising money for Heyva Sor - a Kurdish organisation providing humanitarian support in Rojava.
