Event description
Book to see The Wiener Holocaust Library's new exhibition, Jewish Resistance to the Holocaust

About this Event

Please note that this exhibition is in high demand so if you are unable to make it to your pre-booked slot please do contact the Library (info@wienerlibrary.co.uk) to let us know so we can reallocate your ticket.

The Wiener Holocaust Library's latest exhibition Jewish Resistance to the Holocaust reveals stories of incredible endurance and bravery. During the Holocaust, Jewish partisan groups and underground resistance networks launched attacks, sabotage operations and rescue missions. Resistance groups in ghettos organised social, religious, cultural and educational activities and armed uprisings in defiance of their oppressors. In death camps, in the most extreme circumstances, resisters gathered evidence of Nazi atrocities and even mounted armed rebellions.

This exhibition draws upon the Library’s unique archival collections to tell the story of the Jewish men and women who, as the Holocaust unfolded around them and at great risk to themselves, resisted the Nazis and their collaborators.

We are delighted to announce that the Library's new exhibition will open to the public from Thursday 6 August 2020. In order to ensure the safety of our staff and visitors, we have made some temporary changes to those who wish to visit.

Please note that only members of the public with pre-booked appointments will be admitted to the building.

We continue to monitor the situation with respects to the Covid-19 pandemic, and as such, our regulations are under constant review and might change at short notice. In visiting us you agree to abide by our safety measures.

The safety and wellbeing of all our staff and visitors is of paramount importance and we thank you for your patience and understanding as we continue to navigate this uncertain time.

Please note that tickets for September onwards will be released soon.
