Jersey Heritage Members are invited to explore the historic landmark of Archirondel Tower in a ‘Heritage Lets Open Day’ on Sunday, 16 November from 2.30pm-4.30pm.
Split over four levels, with a large terrace on the ground level and a roof terrace overlooking the beautiful bay of Archirondel, the Tower is ideal for those looking for adventures, with the sea on your doorstep.
The ‘Open Day’ offers Members a chance to explore this unique building, whether you're interested in its architecture and history, planning a stay with family or friends, or simply curious to see its restoration.
Close to St Catherine’s Woods, the impressive stretch of St Catherine’s Breakwater and secluded beaches, the historic Archirondel Tower is a perfect coastal base to explore Jersey. Built on a rocky outcrop in St Catherine’s Bay in 1792, the Tower was originally a garrison for artillery soldiers. It has been refurbished to accommodate two adults and two children.
This is a drop-in event, on a first come, first served basis. To give us an idea of how many people to expect, please book your free tickets on Eventbrite.
Please be aware that the Tower has a narrow spiral staircase with restricted access inside the building.
PARKING: Public parking is available at Archirondel next to the Driftwood Cafe, or on the main road by the Millennium Cross, with a short four-minute walk to the Tower.
