Overview

The main function of the JICC library is to promote Japanese culture to the general public in the UK

The library possesses approximately 4,000 volumes covering a wide range of general educational, historical and cultural topics relating to Japan, some in English and others in Japanese. Government publications, mainly from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, are also available.

In addition, visitors can view the following publications: Asahi Shimbun Japanese-language newspaper (monthly bound volumes from 1986), The Japan Times English-language newspaper (monthly bound volumes from 1980), and certain other Japan-related periodicals.

You can search our library catalogues using the National Institute of Informatics (CiNii) website.
