Join us for the launch of the Joan Brossa exhibition, and a panel discussion, exploring the Catalan poet, playwright and visual artist.
In partnership with the Manchester and Barcelona UNESCO Cities of Literature and the Joan Brossa Foundation, The University of Manchester is delighted to host this exhibition on Joan Brossa, one of Barcelona’s most prominent poets, a key figure in 20th century experimental poetry.
The images on display in this exhibition have been curated by the Joan Brossa Foundation in Barcelona. The exhibition is one of a series of cultural exchange events in place between Manchester and Barcelona UNESCO Cities of Literature during 2025.
You will have the opportunity to view the exhibition, and to hear from a range of speakers on the life and works of Joan Brossa. Speakers incluude Samuel Llano (The University of Manchester), Helena Buffery (University College Cork).
