Using Google Docs to Structure your CV
In this workshop, we’ll look at how to correctly format, structure, edit and save your CV in Google Docs.
Access to Google Docs comes free with a Google account. If you don't already have an account with Google sign up for your free account here... Google Sign Up
You may already have some familiarity with Google Docs and its functions or this may be your first time using it. In any case, you’ll be passionate about perfecting your CV and getting it just right.
In the workshop we’ll cover everything from appropriate fonts, using free templates to creating tables and saving your CV as a PDF.
By the end of the session you should feel more confident in using MS Word to help you create a professional-looking CV.
All abilities welcome and questions encouraged.
Ideally, participants will already have a basic CV that they can use and work with during the session.
WULF Careers Workshops
These workshops are all about learning the tricks and tips of applying for jobs.
They will give you a clear understanding of how to present yourself, your skills and experience effectively, applying these confidently to a variety of different job applications.
Accessing the training:
The webinar will last approximately 1.5 hours and be delivered via Zoom. If you don't already have a Zoom account you can sign up for a free account here... https://zoom.us/freesignup/
Ideally, you’ll need access to a computer or laptop with a microphone/webcam. You can also join via the Zoom app on your smartphone or tablet, although the computer version is preferable.
Trainer Info - Ollie Gwyther
Ollie is a qualified and experienced tutor with a background in secondary and adult education. Prior to going freelance, Ollie worked as a tutor for Adult Learning Wales and delivered training across a number of subject areas.
Passionate about supporting and empowering individuals in developing skills and, with strong technical skills and abilities, Ollie is currently developing online courses for supported self-study and also delivers training on a wide range of digital technologies.
