Employment and information opportunities available
Confused by the job market or need advice about skills and training? Come along to an Employment and Information event in Connah’s Quay for advice about your future.
Communities First Flintshire, Jobcentre Plus and Careers Wales are bringing together local employers, at the Civic Hall in Connah’s Quay on Wednesday 28 September from 10am to 2pm.
Businesses with local jobs and current opportunities will be present on the day to discuss what is available. There will be practical advice on how to find a job including future workshops on interview techniques, creating a CV and writing job applications.
Representatives from the Communities First Enterprise Club will be attending to promote entrepreneurial opportunities in Flintshire and the support available for those wanting to start their own business.
The LIFT programme mentors will provide one to one support for those within a Communities First area who have been out of work for more than six months and come from a workless household.
Councillor Derek Butler, Cabinet Member for Economic Development said: "Our employment and information fair offers advice to anyone searching for a job or wanting to talk to advisors about skills and training. Flintshire County Council is committed to creating opportunities for people to gain employability skills to ensure they are qualified for the jobs they want to pursue."
