The Centre For Autism Wellbeing Hub is delighted to welcome Jodie Clarke for our September Webinar. Jodies's talk is titled "“Stop the world, I want to get off”: Understanding Autistic Burnout in Children and Young People".

About Jodie:

Jodie is an Autistic and ADHD professional specialising in Autistic experience and Mental Health. Jodie is also a parent to neurodivergent children of her own.

Jodie has 20 years’ worth of experience working in the field of autism and in this time has achieved an Honours Degree in Psychology, a Post Grad Certificate in Autism and a Masters with Distinction in Autism. Jodie completed her MA dissertation focusing on Autistic students’ experiences of mainstream education and Autistic masking.

Currently, Jodie is doing her PhD researching Autistic burnout in children and young people. Jodie regularly collaborates with other experts in the field including Dr Pooky Knightsmith and Dr Luke Beardon.

Jodie has authored three books in the areas of Autistic experience and Autistic burnout, all with a focus on children and young people. More details on Jodie and her work can be found at jodieclarke.co.uk

The Centre for Autism Wellbeing Hub

The Wellbeing Hub is a new initiative, funded by University of Reading Alumni. The aim of the Hub is to bring together autistic people, their families, practitioners and researchers to co-produce and deliver neurodiversity-affirming activities that support autistic young people and their families to thrive and flourish.
