The 90-minute sessions, designed for both pupils and parents, allow visitors to see the School site on a tour led by current pupils and staff, ask questions of the Head or another senior member of staff, and enjoy light refreshments.

As with our open days, they are designed for pupils seeking to join the School at all three main entry points:

– Year 7 (11+)

– Year 9 (13+)

– Sixth Form (16+)

From September 2021 we will welcome girls to John Lyon for the first time, into Year 7. All girls and their parents are most welcome at our School in Action days.

The much-expanded programme of School in Action days has been put in place owing to the cancellation of Open Evening in May and with social distancing best practice in mind.

As such, each session is limited to a maximum of 25 people, with each booking limited to three people.

When booking, please book one ticket for each person attending, up to the maximum of three.

The exact structure of the days and further limits on visitor numbers may be changed before the event, depending on updated government distancing advice that may emerge in the coming months. All those registered will receive details of any changes prior to the event by email.
