John Piper painted and photographed Muchelney Abbey in Somerset, England, during his career. Several of his works, including paintings and photographs, depict the abbey and its surrounding landscape
During this two hour exclusive workshop, you will create one or more collages of Muchelney Abbey inspired by the paintings, prints and collages which John Piper himself created of Muchelney Abbey.
Following a demonstration, you will use various techniques and media to create an underpainting and collage of the buildings and inspiring scenery at Muchelney Abbey. You will have time to explore the surroundings and feed this information in to the artwork you create.
The event will be provided under cover and will be indoors if it is rainy or windy. All materials will be provided and you will be able to take your artwork home with you.
Please bring warm clothing, a packed lunch to enjoy in our beautiful grounds and a willingness to experiment.

Tickets are £25 per adult and due to limited tickets available , booking is essential. Payment to be made on arrival at the Abbey.
