Following successful stay-and-sing events in 2020, Bristol Choral invites you to join them for their first collaborative event of 2021. John Rutter's Magnificat is based on the biblical canticle in Latin and English. The magnificat formed part of both Catholic and Anglican services and Rutter's setting includes 'Of a Rose, a lovely Rose' (Movement number 2) an anonymous English poem. This music is both exciting and jolly. Hilary will prepare us with an entertaining warm up, take us through some of the movements and we will finish with a performance for ourselves. An online workshop of this duration will allow preparation of some of the movements. You will see full details on the Online Event Page once you have booked. The event will take place via Zoom and full instructions will be given once you purchase your ticket.
