Description

Please note, in order to confirm your training space we ask you to fill in an application form. Your space is not guaranteed until you do so.

In many cases, the first person that a survivor of domestic abuse speaks to is a friend, family member or neighbour.

The ask me scheme offers free domestic abuse awareness training and a Conversation Kit for ambassadors so that survivors can get the help they need.

You can be part of it.

The kinds of people and organisations that we’re inviting to take part in the training are many- bar staff, hairdressers, community centre workers, reception and administration staff, HR teams, dentists, pharmacists, dieticians, optometrist and local people involved in various community groups.

There are two options for signing up as an ask me Ambassador:

  • You might be an interested individual who has great reach into your local community or

  • You might be part of a business, signing up on behalf of your site.

Due to funding, we can only accept applications from those that are either living or working in the following areas:

Eastbourne, Hastings and the surrounding areas

Those that attend the free two day training delivered by our National Training Centre and a local domestic abuse service will receive 12 CPD points. Training venues will be confirmed upon reciept of your successful application (see below)

For more information contact askme@womensaid.org.uk

The scheme is run by Women’s Aid England, in partnership with Welsh Women's Aid, CGL and the local authority.
